A introduction to Prof. Dong Xie
Profe. Dong Xie was born on December,1978. He is a Ph. D. (post-doctoral), the Young Core Instructor of Hunan province, a Visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan, and a doctoral supervisor. He is a PI of science and technology innovation team of University of South China, the deputy secretary general of Refrigeration institute in Hengyang, the member of the International society for sustainable energy technologies, the assessment experts of the Natural Science Foundation of Hunan Province and Provincial scientific and technological projects. He is also the corresponding peer reviewer in many international Journals, such as 《Journal of Environmental Radioactivity》、《Atmospheric Environment》、《International Journal of Thermal Sciences》、《Radiation Measurements》and so on. He currently served as the department chairman of department of Architectural Environment and Thermal Energy Engineering.
Prof. Xie has been engaged in research fields in "building energy saving and CFD application in HVAC engineering". He has studied and researched in university of Michigan, the United States during July 2011 to July 2012. He has hosted more than 20 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation Project, the Natural Science Foundation projects of Hunan Province, the sub-project of "12th Five-Year" National Science and technology support program subjects, and so on. He has published more than 50 research papers in the domestic and foreign academic journals and conferences, which included more than 20 articles indexed by SCI/EI. He won one Second Prize Award of science and technology of Chinese Packaging Corporation and one Third Prize Award of provincial teaching achievement award. He had more than 10 declared and authorized patents. His primary courses included ventilation and air clean technology Engineering (undergraduate), indoor air quality and living environment (Graduate).
